Disappointed
Disappointed - Nonfunctional

Unfortunately, when using this adapter on a Nikon Z5, the camera goes into a loop on nonfunctionality, flashing the red box around the screen edge, the focus point indicator, and a little clock icon, then a window pops up on the screen saying Error: Press shutter-release button to reset.

I came here looking for a firmware update for the adapter, but I see no link.

Excellent solution

This is the best and also most affordable E to Z adapter on the market! Other brands have problems with firmware and, more importantly, don't hold Sony lenses firmly attached. The Meike adapter is very solid and holds the Sony lens very tightly when in use. I have no issues with auto-focus and aperture reporting back. The firmware update feature in the lens cap is brilliant. The only drawback is that the firmware link is not stable, I cannot mount a drive when the lens is connected to my computer. I hope this will be fixed.

New FW V1.9

Hi,
When I first got this adapter two days ago, it worked well on my Sony lenses and Sigma lenses but it didn't work on Samyang's and Tokina's lens.
I found today the new FW Version 1.9 which was released on 3 Aug and downloaded and upgraded the FW from the old one(V1.3?) to V1.9.
After upgrading, this adapter doesn't work on any brand lenses. I can't find the old versions of FW on this site.
What are the problems with V1.9?
Why no old versions of FW?
Is there any possibility that the adapter was damaged during upgrading?
Let me have your comments asap!

Thanks

ETZ Review

I am using it with the Sigma e mount 100-400 mm F5-6.3 Contemporary DG DN OS on a Nikon Z 6II. All the functions appear to be working.
I like how thin it is.
The fit between the adaptor and the camera is tight. It is difficult to put the adaptor on the camera without the lens attached, but with the lens attached it is fine, so I am not complaining about that.
My concern is that there is definite movement between the adaptor and the lens. I can "rock" the lens and feel it move. It felt tight enough when I mounted the lens, but apparently it is not as tight as it should be. I don't know if it is affecting the focus.
I am unsure as to whether I should return it.
