 About the Meike 35mm f/2

The Meike 35mm f/2 lens is sold by MEIKE, a company in Hong Kong.

Based in Hong Kong, it is a technology R&D enterprise integrating R&D, manufacturing and sales departments.

A manufacturer that has developed widely in dozens of countries and regions such as Europe, the United States, Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea, and the Middle East, and has received high praise.

In addition to still shooting lenses, cinema lenses are also on sale, so they are attracting attention from video creators.

Recommended Cameras

The focal length is 35mm, which is very easy to handle for everyday use.

Landscapes, portraits, and dynamic architecture can all be captured with relative stability.

The material is plastic, but it feels a little rough to the touch and the fit is excellent when you touch it with your hands.

Opening the Meike 35mm F2

It is an embossed box, and you can see the attention to detail from a small place.

In the lower right corner, the SE series mark is listed. It's not the same as the Pro Series, but it's affordable and guaranteed performance.

It comes with a lens hood, instructions and warranty card.

(It's not shown in the photo, but it's actually properly attached)

The instructions are not written in Japanese.

We live in an era where you can quickly search with translation apps, so I don't think it's much of a problem.

It seems to be made with weight reduction in mind, but it is firmly made without feeling cheap.

The weight is 300g,It does not fall forward when the camera is attached. The mount is made of metal and has a Type-C outlet for firmware updates.

There is a stock plastic mount, but the metal material is quite a nice point because it is very uneasy.

This lens has an AF and MF switch so you can enjoy either one.

I'm worried about the AF speed, but I have the impression that it's a little faster than average.

The AF mechanism is an STM (stepping motor), so there is a little noise when it works.

Exterior of the Meike 35mm f/2

I tried installing it on Nikon Z6II.

It has a dark grey color and a matte rough finish, giving it a robust and powerful look.

The length of the lens barrel is just right, and it is easy to handle because it does not extend too much over the entire surface.

Price of the Meike 35mm f/2

The price is $ 159.99 in Japan yen and it sells for ¥22,878 (1$ = 143 yen) .

It is currently not available on Amazon (Japan), Rakuten, and Yahoo Shopping.

Currently , it is only available on the official website or AliExpress.
