Paired with a Lumix S9, it is an amazing lens. I got amazing photos in not time with it. From colours to sharpness to bokeh and depth, paired with the snappy autofocus, this is amazing for the price. It has both very strong accuracy and character altogether straight from F/1.8. You really are in control of your composition and how you wanna display your subject. Same for video and focus breathing, it is reliable and consistent. I'd say with proper color grading or live LUT, you instantly get the "cinematic" movie effect on your footage. Only cons is the minimum length distance to focus (approx 55cm), which means for intimate shots or speedy movements you better be ready to move fast or you miss the shot. Don't plan to get "in the face" of your subject, instead move around and be ready to crop zoom if needed (you want to shoot at high resolution if your camera can handle it). Next, build assembly oozes of quality. Clicked apperture is a nice touch, manual focus ring is also accurate when you don't wanna rely on the AF itself. Side note, it feels big when mounted on a compact body like the S9 ! But not bigger than other 50-55mm with fast aperture. At the discounted price ($80 coupons) I definitely recommend grabbing one if you like the 50-55mm focal range. It won't disappoint nor let you down.
