                                Portable and Sharp

  • Excellent results in term of sharpness , bokeh, background blur smoothness and color rendition in video
  • Nice rendering for portraits, low CA.
  • AF is fast and silent ,suitable for most of the shooting scenarios
  • Focus breathing is mild

                                Optical Construction

7 Groups 11 Elements

  • Lens double-sided multilayer coating, 1 ED lens, 1 high refraction lens, effectively control CA, ghosting, flare. The closest focusing distance reaches 0.63m, and the ability to take macro shots is just as impressive.
  • With 9 aperture blades for a softer bokeh effect, the shallow depth of field it creates makes the background more defocused to highlight the subject when shooting portraits, and at the same time, the shutter speed can be increased accordingly to freeze the moment under the same parameters.

Fantastic 50mm Prime For The Price!

I already have the Lumix 50mm Prime lens for use with my Lumix S5 ii, but was intrigued as to whether the Meike would compare well.
Initial test shots showed that the lens was adequate but when I did some portrait shotts of my Granddaughter it was clearly more than adequate. So if you're thinking of getting this budget lens for whatever mount, I would suggest strongly that you do. The results are as sharp as you would hope and for such a cheap lens it doesn't feel cheap at all. Recommended as a budget prime lens whatever your format.

    Great value and image quality

This lens is a steal. Image quality is comparable to my old Nikon 50 1.8G for less than an FTZ adapter, is enough for me. Last, it has a rubber seal which is great.
