Sehr robust und gut im Handling. Nur ein Stern Abzug weil der Fokusring meiner Ansicht nach zu wenig Laufstrecke hat. Minimalste Bewegung hat bei F1.2 einen großen Effekt. Eine 180°-Drehung wäre mindestens nötig gewesen. Ich behelfe mir ohne Stativ mit Sonys Focus Magnifier, Focus Peaking und schneller Serienbildaufnahme um etwas mehr Sicherheit zu haben ein scharfes Bild zu bekommen. Auch der Blendenring kann versehentlich bewegt werden wenn man nur mit dem Finger dran kommt. Ansonsten kann man für den Preis wirklich nicht meckern. Die Unschärfe sieht schön und weich aus. Lensflare, wer's mag, ist auch interessant. Ich habe das Objektiv hauptsächlich gekauft weil ich mit Freelensing experimentieren wollte und ein Objektiv mit mechanischem Fokusring dafür brauche. Macht sehr viel Spaß, ein guter Kauf!

If you want a fast F1.2 lens with the 50mm focal point this should be on your shortlist. It is a manual lens with a smooth aperture ring for video work. The main reason for my purchase was it’s more ‘classic’ look, not ultra sharp, along with a beautiful flare which gives this lens a beautiful character.

Exactly What I Was Hoping For

Like with most things you get what you pay for. However, there are times when products can over-deliver. This is one of those exceptions. I have been using this lense for a little while now both professionally and for hobby purposes. Shooting weddings, landscapes, and various other items. I have been very pleased with the performance especially considering the price.

The lense is capable of exceptional image quality in nearly all circumstances. The 1.2 aperture makes a world of difference for night time or low light moments. This lense is part of my everyday kit now simply due to that enhanced capability.

Overall, has earned four stars from me. It lost one star because at 1.2 you do lose image sharpness. However, you can still capture images that are plenty sharp enough. At 1.6-1.7 images become much sharper. The only other downside is the focusing ring is just a touch too loose. I don't mind an easy to focus ring however the focus can quite literally be thrown off just from touching it.

In conclusion, if you would like a lense that is very versatile and low in price this is an excellent option. Understand that while it has two smaller downsides, it has an excellent build quality that inspires confidence into the user. This lense is great and I believe I will always have it in my collection.
