From the minute I unboxed the Meike 35mm full frame prime lens, I knew I had stumbled upon something special. This lens marks the second addition to my videography gear from Meike's line-up, and it has thoroughly impressed me, much like the 24mm. The build and image quality it offers at such an affordable price point is nothing short of astonishing and this is now my go-to lens for a variety of applications.

The lens itself exudes a premium feel that belies its cost, making it a standout option for both amateur and professionals alike. Its performance in various lighting conditions coupled with my Panasonic S5ii has been exceptional, showcasing its versatility and reliability.

What excites me the most is the potential to explore more from Meike's range. If this 35mm prime lens is any indication of the quality and innovation Meike brings to the table, then I eagerly anticipate getting my hands on the rest of the lineup. It's rare to find a blend of affordability and high quality, but Meike seems to have struck the perfect balance with this lens.

Kudos Meike!

Great for independent film making

Whilst the Meike film lenses are far less expensive than standard cinematic lenses, they still represent a significant investment for independent, self-funded film makers like me. So they need to deliver great results - and Meike lenses certainly do that. Robust, smooth and clear, with great results. I've bought two focal lengths so far, 85mm and 35mm, but I would certainly expand this on the basis of the image quality and user-friendliness I've found with these.
Only one area for improvement: the rear lens cap (the end where the lens connects to the camera body) doesn't stay on very easily. Not a problem when the lens is in use, but when changing lenses, the cap does tend to fall off. Could probably do to screw a little further onto the lens. This happens with both lenses, but it's a minor niggle.

Amazing unit, best value

I just wanted to clear my doubt. I own an S35 prime and that does the job splendidly. Right now looking to upgrade the kit and what if I use this FF prime lens on a BMPCC 6K? Wil bmpcc 6k support this FF prime or should S35 be the right option?

Would using this FF produce any vignette in the footage?
