Parfait avec mon G80

Less than 10 days to receive the 65mm MFT! Real fast delivery with tracking. The cine prime is very well finished (like the 8,12 and 25mm already in my possession). Precision and softness of the rings. the first photos and videos correspond to my expectations: sharpened at T2.2, soft bokeh, no focus breathing, neutral color. In addition, changing lense is easy on a gimbal (balancing) or with follow focus (same spacing of the rings). More than intensely exposing it with my G80 !!

Really Good Lens!

I use multiple GH5 cameras, and an early adopter and fan of the Veydra mini primes. They have been in use since Ryan Avery introduced them. Although I was very happy with them, I always wished there more developed. Then when I was watching the YouTube video from Duclos lenses, and Ryan talking about how the Veydra lenses got sort of migrated to Meike, I was thrilled. The 65mm lens is truly great for the price. It fits in wonderfully between the 50mm and the 85mm. There are times I would reach for the 85 for some close up shots, whereas the 50mm was reserved for a standard headshot of an actor or a person being interviewed. I frequently wished there was something in between. I have assisted in shooting a short with multiple cameras. With the cameras pulled back as to not interfere with the framing of each one, the 65mm focal length would have been perfect. At 130mm for the full frame world, this seems to have a certain magic in terms of depth of field, and a good medium telephoto. The lens is pretty neutral in color, and sharp used wide open. The build quality is metal, solid and very good. There isn't a cine prime in this price category that comes close. The lens far exceeds the price paid for it. I assume all the other lenses in the set are just as good, and I wouldn't hesitate anyone shooting Sony E super-35, BMPC camera, or Micro 4/3 to purchase a complete set. Meike has done a really good job in designing and building these cine lenses!
