Great lens

First of all, my order was processed very quickly. Shipped from the USA. I purchased a 65mm Cine lens earlier, that shipped from China. Either way, the response was very quick. kudos to Meike!
I am a MFT shooter, and will be until there will be no more cameras manufactured. I find the format perfectly suitable for the work I do. I own a set of Veydras which were revolutionary and excellent lenses. Meike continued this tradition and improved upon it. The 8mm was one of the lenses I always desired because sometimes the 12mm just wasn't wide enough. The 8mm focuses down to under a foot. Even at T/2.9, you can get some depth of field if you feature an object in the foreground. The lens is sharp, and gives a good neutral rendering. I really like Meike lenses as they have pretty much completed a good line of M43 optics. So many times companies release the common lenses, 35, 50, 85 (full frame) and maybe a wide. Here, having a family of focal lengths to choose from that match well, is really great to see. I long for a good, T/2.1 100mm lens from them, but the line of lenses with the 8mm is wonderfully functional. The 8mm does not distort much, and gives a very pleasing wide field of view. Although it took time to bring to the market, I would highly rate this lens and recommend this to any Micro 43 shooter! For the price, you simply cannot go wrong.

A proper 8mm cine lens.

Excellent 8mm cine lens. Sharp, reasonably wide aperture given the focal length, and virtually zero fish eye distortion. Very happy with my purchase.
