Best Cine prime lenses which are affordable with lumix gh5s

Best price and the wide Choises

A proper 8mm cine lens.

Excellent 8mm cine lens. Sharp, reasonably wide aperture given the focal length, and virtually zero fish eye distortion. Very happy with my purchase.

Meike 8mm T2.9 MFT

I am very happy with my purchase. Very fast shipment (7 days from the date of placing the order) - shipped to Germany. Shipment properly secured. Due to the weather and holidays, the lens itself has not been tested yet - I only took a few photos and a short video to check the optics and the correctness of the lens mechanisms. OK. The picture is fine at first glance, the rings run smoothly. After the new year, I will be testing the lens - checking the geometry, colors, white balance, etc. - in comparison with other lenses in the Meike series (16mm, 25mm). I think it should be fine. Thanks Meike.

Simply awesome

I love this lens. Fits very well on my BMPCC 4K

The 8mm T2.9 Now Completes My Meike Cine M43 Lens Set

Meike’s 8mm T2.9 Cine lens completes my set of 6 Meike Cine lens – 8,12,16,25, 35 and 50mm. I consider myself an advanced video hobbyist and have a BMPCC 4K and a ZCAM E2 4K. Because I primarily do landscape /travel videos, the 8mm T2.9 will probably become my favorite go-to lenses. Previously, I have been using a Canon 11-16mm STM (modified) with a Metabones Ultra 0.71X Speed Booster for many of my videos. This combination results in a 15.6mm optic – while the 8mm Meike provides a 16mm optic in the two M43 cameras I use. The 8mm’s focus and aperture external gear positioning matches the other lenses in my 6 lenses set. However, the 86mm filter thread of the lens requires the purchase of separate ND filters, as the other lenses in the set have a 77mm filter thread. The COVID-19 pandemic has limited my testing of the 8mm T2.9 but YouTube videos suggest that my future captured landscape/travel videos will be outstanding. The 8mm built quality is on par with the other Meike Cine lens. As the Meike’s Cine lenses are versions of the now defunct Veydra Cine lenses – Meike’s optics let me enjoy the optics at a cost I would have not been able to justify, if the Veydra Cine lense where still the only option for the M43 video enthusiast.
